Pawan Kalyan’s long-anticipated historical action-adventure film Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs. Spirit is finally inching toward its theatrical release, officially slated for June 12, 2025. After facing multiple delays over the years, the film has generated immense anticipation among fans and the industry alike. Now, ahead of its big-screen debut, it’s been confirmed that the movie will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video following its theatrical run.

Amazon Prime Video announced the news via its social media platforms, stating:

"A revolutionary tale of Veera Mallu, the outlaw to rebel against the Mughal empire. #HariHaraVeeraMallu available post-theatrical release. #AreYouReady #PrimeVideoPresents."

Follows the 8-Week OTT Window

As a pan-India release, the film is expected to adhere to the standard eight-week window between theatrical and digital premieres, especially in regions governed by multiplex regulations like North India. This delay in OTT release is commonly seen for big-ticket films, especially those with Hindi-dubbed versions, and is likely to apply to Hari Hara Veera Mallu as well.

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly acquired the OTT rights for a whopping ₹50 crore, making it one of the year's biggest digital deals. Meanwhile, negotiations for the film’s theatrical rights are still underway, with expected valuations close to ₹125 crore—further highlighting the film’s strong market potential even before box office numbers are in.

A Project Years in the Making

The journey of Hari Hara Veera Mallu to the big screen has been both ambitious and challenging. Initially helmed by director Krish Jagarlamudi, the directorial reins were later taken over by AM Jyothi Krishna. The film has been in the making for over five years and is currently in its final stages of post-production. What began as a ₹150 crore project has now exceeded ₹200 crore in production costs.

Set in the 17th-century Mughal era, the film revolves around Veera Mallu, a legendary outlaw tasked with stealing the iconic Koh-i-Noor diamond from the Mughals. Pawan Kalyan stars in the titular role, with Bobby Deol portraying Emperor Aurangzeb. The star-studded cast also features Nargis Fakhri as Roshanara, Nidhhi Agerwal as Panchami, and Satyaraj in a pivotal role. Nora Fatehi, Vikramjeet Virk, and Jisshu Sengupta also play significant parts.

More Than Just a Movie

What makes Hari Hara Veera Mallu even more significant is that it marks Pawan Kalyan’s first pan-India cinematic release since assuming office as Deputy Chief Minister. This political dimension has added to the film’s anticipation, drawing attention from both cinema enthusiasts and political circles.

With its grand scale, compelling storyline, and a power-packed cast, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of 2025—both on the silver screen and in the digital streaming space.
